Dr. Patel,

I completed the form and will scan it into my computer and email it to you in the morning.  In the meantime I did want to give you more information about the status of my knees.

Since I had the procedure done on my knees I have had about three instances of stiffness/pain in my right knee.  Each time this has happened I notice the pain and stiffness mostly when I walk.  I have taken pain medication for this pain, but I will say that the pain level never got over about a 3-4 level. Prior to the procedures, my pain typically remained at about a 5-9 level, but more significantly I felt a weakness in my knee that made me feel as though it might give out on me.  This was very scary – not knowing if I might fall at any time.

The pain each time lasted for maybe 3-5 days then just subsided.  I also noticed that the pain became less when I rested my knee or sometimes put ice on it.

Following the procedures I have been walking on an average between one and two miles per day.  I am also swimming about 4-5 days per week for about an hour each time.  I was not able to do either activity prior to the procedures being done.

Since the procedures, I have not had any pain in my left knee at all.  I have enjoyed normal activities without restrictions since the procedures.  I have not used my walker or my cane.  I am able to walk up stairs normally – one foot at a time – although I always hold onto the railing going up and down.  For the most part both knees feel strong and give me no problems.

Right now 6/6 I have no pain or stiffness in either knee and I am enjoying normal activities – life is good!

Thank you, Dr. Patel for all you have done for me.  I am grateful!
